Year 2 and 3
Welcome to Mercury Class! We are a hard-working, kind and positive class where everyone is encouraged to be brave, be inquisitive and grow into resilient learners. We love to be curious learners that work as a team.
Autumn 2026
We have lots of exciting learning planned this term. In History, we will be exploring how school has changed since the 1900’s and comparing it with our current school experience. In Geography, we will be considering whether we would prefer to live in a hot or cold location!
Our Science learning will explore everyday materials and their properties, including how they are fit for purpose. In DT, we will look to consider ways to maintain a balanced diet, while in Computing we will by investigating Bee-bots and how to direct them to a desired outcome.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to be creative through drawing, music and singing, our year 2’s will also have the opportunity to learn and play the Glockenspiel! In our PE lessons we will be focusing on developing our orienteering skills and sharpening our fundamental skills with Mr M.
