A brilliant year of Forest School

A brilliant year of Forest School

One year ago I had just done the first weeks of my training to become a Forest School Leader. Now in July 2017 I can look back to an amazing year. We created a grassland Forest School setting and did go for the most of it. Every class had the pleasure of having one FS session per week during the last school year. This gave them time to enjoy the outdoors and learn about themself, develop social and communication skills and increase the relationship to their Class Teacher but also to school in general.

Thanks for the amazing support through Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants as well as the School Assosciation. The SSA helped to ensure, that all children were able to take part by giving them school waterproofs in case they did not bring their own.

In the name of the children I want to thank also all parents and volunteer helpers who came along to assist at one or more sessions. I hope to be share this experience with more parents next school year.

Have a look back at our fantastic first Forest School Year at Sharpness Primary School and visit the Gallery.
