What a busy week

This week has been incredibly busy and exciting.

First up was the District Sports field events meeting on Monday where the children representing the school were a real credit to us and performed very well. Wednesday evening saw another set of excellent performances and magnificent sporting attitude from the KS2 children at the track events meeting at Dursley. The children thoroughly enjoyed these experiences and were amazingly well supported by a huge contingent of parents, siblings, grandparents, family and friends at both events. A huge 'Thank you' to everyone who came along to encourage and support the children.

During Wednesday we were thrilled to welcome author Maz Evans to the school. She did a series of workshops throughout the day involving all the children and they were inspired to write some fantastic stories whilst working with her. Many of them were eager to buy signed copies of her books at the end of the day.

Today saw Pluto Class starting us off on our new whole school blogging adventure. They worked brilliantly this afternoon with David Mitchell who has helped them set up their new class blog and got them started on writing some poems which they want to share with as wide as possible an audience. So far their blog has been read by people from as far away as France, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Stroud! Our busy and exciting week is being rounded off tomorrow by Mars Class' trip to St. Andrews Church.
